CREATING NOTIFICATIONS

Users within the portal have access at various level to send notifications.

 Creating the Notice

  1. Go to dashboard - MENU BAR > NOTIFICATIONS > CREATE NOTIFICATIONS - 

  2. 3 step process – Notice Info > Notice for (Groups) > Publish Notice 

 Step 1 - Notice Info 

o        User can choose type of notification – Email or SMS. Will also show on the Dashboard (right panel under UNREAD NOTIFICATIONS heading) 

o        User can select more than 1 type of notification if required ie. Email only, SMS only or Email & SMS. 

o        SMS - can also attach .ics file attachment (.ics file is a calendar invite) 

o        Please test text body formatting 

o        Fill out all required fields and click CONTINUE to move onto next step 

 Step 2 - Notice for (Groups) 

o        2 options - multiple users or individual users 

o        Individual users – select user from drop down menu and click on Add to move individual to the send group. Click on Remove to remove individuals from the send group. 

o        Multiple users - can pinpoint exactly which groups the notification goes to 

o        Click CONTINUE to move onto next step 

 Step 3 - Publish Notice 

o        2 options - publish immediately or on a specific day 

o        Immediately - select expiry date.  

o        On a specific day - schedule it for a future date/time 

o        Click on FINISH to send the notification 

o        After the expiry date, notices will be available under the archive tab. All notices will be removed from the system after one year. 

 

Notice Status 

Click on the heading NOTICES in dashboard on the menu bar - 

  • 3 tabs - UnreadRead and Archived  

  • Unread – click on  READ NOTICE  to open notification. Notification will open in a new tab. Notification will automatically be moved to the Read tab. 

  •  Read - click on READ NOTICE  to open notification. Notification will open in a new tab. 

  • Archived – click on  READ NOTICE to open notification. Notification will open in a new tab. Notifications that have expired will be moved here automatically. 

 

Notification Report

  • On your dashboard - NOTICES > NOTIFICATION REPORT - 

  • User can view notification statuses and who the notifications were sent to 

  • ·               Fill out required fields and click on DISPLAY
