Running the Census Detail Report

Prerequisites

In order to be able to complete the Census Upload process you will need:

  • Catholic Schools NSW NetID account

  • Access to the Catholic Schools NSW Alteryx portal

If you don’t have a NETiD account you can create a new account following the documentation. You can request access to the Catholic Schools NSW Alteryx portal by contacting our support team.

Running the Census Detail Report from the Census portal

The below steps outline the actions the user needs to follow to upload their Census data to the CSNSW environment.

  • Sign in (top right corner of the screen) using your CSNSW provided credentials.

  • You will now see “Collections” in the far left pane. Select “Collections”.

  • Select the “Census Upload” Collection.

  • Select the “Census Detail Report” Analytic App.

  • Select 'Run'

  • Select ‘Uploaded for Submission (PRODUCTION)’ and the correct Diocese or School to run the Census Detail Report for by expanding the tree and ticking the appropriate options.

If you select a Diocese or School that you are not authorised to have access to in NETiD you will receive an Error and be able to complete the report. If this happens please contact our support team.

  • Click Run to start generating the report.

Downloading the Report

Once the App is finished running, you will be notified with the next screen. You will also receive two drop-down menus:

  • Output File - will show you the name of the report generated. This does not need to be changed.

  • File Format - select XLSX from the drop-down.

You can then click on Download to download and open the report.
