Procedures

  1. Open your web browser using GUEST profile.

If you are using Google Chrome, click your profile in the top-right corner and then select Guest.

If you are using Microsoft Edge, click your profile in the top-left corner, select Other profile and then select Browse as guest.

  1. Copy https://In the address bar, type in teams.microsoft.com, paste it on the address bar and then press enter.

It will take you to the Microsoft Teams sign in page that looks like below.

  1. Enter your CSSA username (this was sent to you via email from Microsoft - refer to Prerequisite) and then select Next.

  1. Enter your CSSA temporary password and then select Sign In.

  1. It will prompt you to update your password.

Current password is your temporary CSSA password.

Create your own password under the New password and then type it again under Confirm password.

Select Sign in.

Your own password must not contain your user ID, and need to be at least 8 characters long, with uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols.

  1. It will prompt you More information required. This is the process where you have to setup multifactor authentication. Select Next to start setting up your authentication method.

You are required to setup two (2) methods of authentication - via Phone and via Email.

  1. Change the country code to Australia and then enter your mobile number and then select Next. See the image below for an example.

  1. Check your mobile phone and enter the code that was sent to you by Microsoft via SMS. Select Next.

  1. Once the verification is completed, it will prompt you that your phone has been register.

Click Next to setup the second Authentication method.
