Issue: Changing a user’s personal details in SMU

A user has had a name or address change, and you need to update their details in Staff Management Utility (SMU).

Resolution:

You can change a user’s personal details such as legal name and email address in SMU by following these steps:

  1. Superusers will need to access SMU from the main landing page of the Extranet Portal.

2. Select [Staff Management] on the left hand side of the screen. Select [Non Gov - Search/ Update]

3. Insert the user’s name into the search fields. Make sure that the location shown is your school. Then click [search]

4. Click on the user’s User ID

In cases where duplicate accounts exist, select the most current. This will be the User ID with the largest number.

5. All details marked with an asterisk are required. Once the details have been changed, click [modify].
