Issue: Checking the expiry dates of users

Superusers (Principals/Diocesan Officers) are responsible for maintaining staff access to the Extranet at their location. Part of this involves extending the expiry dates of users.

If a principal has appointed an additional superuser at their location, they are still responsible for the maintenance of that account.

Since a user’s expiry date cannot be extended by more than 12 months, staff lists should be maintained on a yearly basis.

The access expiry dates of users at a location can be checked by performing a user search in SMU.

Resolution: Performing a user search in SMU

  1. Superusers (Principals/Diocesan Officers) can access SMU from the main landing page of the Extranet Portal (https://sso.det.nsw.edu.au/).

2. Go to [Staff Management – Non Gov Search/Update] (on the left side ).

3. Make sure that the ”at location” option has your school name and click the [Search] button without entering an individual’s name.

4. The search will produce a list of all users registered at this school with their expiry dates visible.

5. Change the expiry dates of users as required, using https://csnsw.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/APP/pages/34504798/Issue%2BExtending%2BExpiry%2BDates?atlOrigin=eyJpIjoiNDJlN2ZmZjYzMzIyNGM2Mzk3ZWFjNDY5YTFjMTQ4ZTMiLCJwIjoiYyJ9
