ALAN (Plan2/Best Start Kindergarten/Best Start Year 7) information

Background

ALAN is a sub-section within the NSW Department of Education (NSW DoE). The ALAN support team provides the ALAN tile to Diocesan and CSNSW staff members, as these are both considered to be Corporate offices. This team also looks after any issues relating to the extranet access to the NSW DoE.

The ALAN team have explained the following, regarding students within ALAN/Plan2:

1. Students do not automatically rollover, however we are changing this process for next year, as we have noticed that schools do not complete the transfer in staging.

2. All students are placed in staging d/b, where schools are asked to upload their new students and confirm their existing students. This is a process that is completed in Dec-Jan.

3. If there are Year 2 students still registered as Year 1, the school will need to go into Admin / Manage students and change the scholastic year there.
